Working in BeeMachine project which is a collaboration between KDD lab and the Entomology department at K-State which deals with automated identification of bee species from images based on image classification.
  • Image Annotation: create Bees datasets from annotating a rectangle and polygon that generate Yolo, VOC XML, COCO and VGG Format to train the Bee classification modal
  • Create an annotation training course with a certificate
  • Facilitate Annotation training for the new annotators of the KDD lab
  • Image scoring paper: collaborate on building new classification model that score an image based on their quality by researching the criteria that identify the good quality for Bee images to cerate high quality dataset

Coding into the Virtual World
— USD383 Summer STEM camp
The camp empowers students to build 3D games, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality apps that aim to make learning fun and engaging by immersing them in a safe virtual environment using the Hatch XR platform. Hatch XR is a virtual reality learning platform designed for children where they can interact with objects, explore different settings, and solve challenges. The platform uses a combination of virtual reality headsets and educational content to create an immersive and interactive learning experience. It offers a variety of educational experiences in different subjects, including science, history, and language, such as exploring the human body, discovering ancient civilizations, and learning about different animals and their habitats. The platform is intended to be used in schools and educational settings.

In a pair programming exercise, students translated the sheet music of the song Ode to Joy using the Scratch programming language.
